Faster characters have higher chances of running away from the monster if they are ambushed, and can even escape from some traps.
Characters with more perception can see clues that are harder to spot. Stronger characters can move and lift heavier objects. Each character has different stats, making them useful in different situations during the mystery: strenght, perception, speed and courage. Picture it like The Sims 3 in that regard: you can control each character apart, or you can ask a character to call all, or part, of the gang members to a common place. It would be, for most of the game, just like a regular Scooby-Doo episode: someone is disguised as a monster, causing some trouble or hauting some specific place, and the gang has to find out who it's, or capture the monster to unmask it. The gang would be placed in a different city for every mistery. For this reason you should try and distill it down to the smallest and simplest concept you can, that way an interested game developer can actually make it. While we appreciate game ideas of all difficulty levels, before you post a game idea that is unlikely to ever be made it is worth checking out (Credit: /u/clintbellanger) as there is a good chance it is too big.
